This semester, teampact was supporting the pdz lecture about coaching innovation projects. This course enables 25 students who were working as assistants in the innovation project (a compulsory project for every first-year mechanical engineering student) to build up skills and experience in coaching engineering teams. In this course, the students learn concepts and methods of team coaching, discuss challenging coaching situations they encounter with their teams and reflect on their role as a coach.
Teampact contributed in various forms to the lectures. Most notably, we facilitated exercises, provided teaching theories and shared experiences about complex teaching topics like observations and interpretation of team behavior, psychological safety, conflict management and reflexivity. Those hands-on inputs greatly influenced the quality of this lecture.
Teampact also supported the lecture in FS20 and is planned to continue further.
