In November 2019, teampact had the honour of hosting an evening workshop with Benno Volk. Benno gathered diverse skills and experiences in various styles and flavours of coaching; starting as online trainer and tele-tutor, going over to university instructor and continuing as education course leader. After his doctorate at TU Dresden on competence-oriented personnel development he is now deputy head of LET at ETH Zürich, responsible for curriculum development and university teaching. Besides his job at ETH Zurich, he is currently doing a master of advanced studies in coaching, supervision & consulting of organisations at ZHAW.

The evening began in an informal circular seating arrangement with recollections of Benno’s history in coaching. Benno introduced the topic “Systemic Constellations” (in German Aufstellungsarbeit) which he got to know in his MAS in coaching, supervision & consulting of organizations. After a brief history introduction and the basic principles of systemic constellations he showed us some real-life examples in coaching situations.

One of the participants had a personal case on which we could practically apply the systemic constellations to get an overview and to discuss possible solutions of the problem. It was great to discover and discuss a new coaching tool and we believe that it might be useful in further coaching situations. Teampact would like to sincerely thank Benno Volk for taking the time to share his experiences from his current advanced training and for enriching our personal portfolio of coaching tools.

This event was organized by teampact with support of ETH‘s Critical Thinking Initiative.
